Ride share new song "Pulsar"

Ride have just shared a new song, “Pulsar.” It was recorded with Erol Alkan, who produced this year’s The Weather Diaries, but it was made more recently than the album sessions. Dense, far-out and fuzzy, this one is especially Ride-sounding. Drummer Loz Colbert tells us more:

“Pulsar” re-imagines old organ samples, transmissions from space, effects, heavy beats and pulsing chords. The song title tips its head to the 60’s instrumental ’Telstar’ in name and theme; and the idea was to come up with some kind of ‘space anthem’ about light, existence, travel and return. The band all contributed to make the song what it is, and it all really came together in the studio.

The band, who were in NYC over the summer, begin a European tour today with an appearance at Pitchfork Paris. All dates are listed below.
