Riis Park Beach Bazaar hosting live music, DJs, free events (2019 schedule)

Riis Park Beach Bazaar returns for its fifth annual season this summer, bringing live music, DJs, film screenings, food pop-ups, golf, volleyball and more to the Bay 9 bazaar as well as the bathhouse that reopened last summer after over 30 years closed. Events kick off Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday May 25) and run through Labor Day. See the full schedule below.

Meanwhile, at nearby Rockaway Beach, Beach 86th boardwalk food stand Rippers is once again hosting live music throughout the summer. Shea Stadium is presenting free shows in June, July, and August, with Bethlehem Steel, Greg Electric, Dan Francia Project, Spirit Was, and DJ Spaceman Spliff on June 22, Alexander Orange Drink, Bueno, Janitor and DJ Gabby 2Lips on July 20, and Wicked Kind, Emmerson & Her Clammy Hands, Wallet and DJ & Reading from Lesbian Bookstore on August 17.
