Rival Mob @ 285 Kent, 2/23/2013
It got a little incestuous at 285 Kent on Saturday (2/23), when Massachusetts band The Rival Mob played their record release show with special guests Stick Together, Give, Waste Management, WW4, Prisoner Abuse and Brain Slug (NY’s Inside Out cancelled). Members of Rival Mob also serve in Prisoner Abuse and WW4 (with members of Floorpunch), while Waste Management contains members of some of Rival Mob’s related projects, so it was definitely a show that kept it “family” for the duration.
Rival Mob’s new LP Mob Justice is out now, and definitely worth a listen for fans of brutal, late 80s-style hardcore. More pics from the wild straight-edge show at 285 Kent are below.
