As mentioned, former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant is releasing a new solo album, Carry Fire, on October 13 via Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Like 2014's Lullaby And… The Ceaseless Roar, he recorded it with his backing band The Sensational Space Shifters (which includes members of Portishead and Massive Attack). The first single was "The May Queen," which sorta blended Zeppelin's folk rock side with The Sensational Space Shifters' more futuristic sounds. This new one, "Bones of Saints," is bluesier, and Plant favors a lower register for most of the song, only letting his trademark wail surface a bit towards the end. Listen below.

A 2018 world tour is TBA.
