Robert Plant streaming new album 'Carry Fire'

Robert Plant Carry Fire

Robert Plant‘s new solo album Carry Fire comes out next week (10/13) via Nonesuch/Warner Bros, and the former Led Zeppelin frontman is streaming the album one week early. As mentioned, he once again recorded this one with his backing band The Sensational Space Shifters (who include members of Portishead and Massive Attack), and they add a nice modern touch to Plant’s roots in traditional folk and blues. He’s also got a duet with Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders on a cover of Ersel Hickey’s “Bluebirds Over The Mountain.” Listen to the entire album at NPR.

Plant recently announced the initial dates for his 2018 world tour, including a NYC show on February 14 at Beacon Theatre (tickets). More dates are TBA, but you can check out his current schedule and stream three songs off the new album, below.
