Fleet Foxes LP4

Robin Pecknold teases Fleet Foxes LP4, begins recording (watch videos)

Fleet Foxes finally returned from hiatus and released the great Crack-Up last year, and it seems like we won’t have to wait as long for their next album. Frontman Robin Pecknold was teasing “Fleet Foxes LP4” on social media earlier this year, and now he posted two videos from the studio. One is captioned “Rolling” and the other is captioned “Also: I T B E G I N S.” They both feature recordings of Robin singing what certainly sounds like new music (and the second one also has a snippet of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”). Watch below, and stay tuned for more.

Also, in the second video, a commenter asked Robin if he could cover “Yet Again” by Grizzly Bear, or do a new recording of “I’m Losing Myself,” his collaboration with Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste. Then another commenter @-ed Ed Droste and said “then you would need to do a FF song. its only fair.” Ed himself commented, asking Robin, “YOU IN??!!”, and Robin replied: “in!” Will it really happen? Let’s hope.
