Robyn, Nine Inch Nails, Darryl Hall, Bettye Lavette & more feature on new Todd Rundgren LP (listen to Robyn collab)

Todd Rundgren‘s CV is long and varied: ’70s superstar, songwriter of hits, in-demand producer, and notable eccentric. For his new album, White Knight, he’s collaborating with friends and artists he’s influenced. Its lineup is both impressive and crazy diverse: Robyn, Darryl Hall, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Bettye Lavette, Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen, The Eagles’ Joe Walsh, Dam-Funk, guitar great Joe Satriani, Moe Berg of Canadian band The Pursuit of Happiness and more. Says Todd, “It’s easy to get used to playing to your own audience, even if you are absorbing and experimenting with new ideas. I wanted to collaborate not just for the musical possibilities, but also to play for new audiences and expose my fans to the range of artists I enjoy working with.”

White Knight is out May 12 via Cleopatra. You can check out the Robyn collaboration, “That Could’ve Been Me,” via Pitchfork, as well as the album tracklist below.

Todd, who played City Winery not too long ago, will be on tour this spring. There are no shows in NYC, but he does have dates in nearby Tarrytown, NY and Kingston. All dates are listed below.
