Rockwood Music Hall celebrating 15th anniversary in February w/ special shows
Rockwood Music Hall opened on Allen St in 2005 showcasing singer-songwriters, folk, country, Americana, and expanded with Stage 2 in 2010 and then a third stage in 2012. Over the years, Rockwood has hosted everyone from The Lumineers, Lady Gaga, Norah Jones, Chrissie Hynde, Punch Brothers, and Olof Arnalds, to New Pornographers, Peter Bjorn and John, John Doe, Bad Religion's Greg Graffin and Supergrass' Gaz Coombes. Turning 15 this year, Rockwood will be celebrating all February. “From the beginning, we chose to focus on the artist’s experience within the venue, and to support artists before, during and after their show,” says owner Ken Rockwood. “I believe this is what has established our success and allows us to continue to offer amazing shows to the live music lovers of New York City and visitors from around the world.” For the month-long celebration, they're bringing back artists from throughout their history, along with "several nights saved for special guests to be announced."
Among those playing in February: The Lone Bellow, Sasha Dobson w/ Kenny Wollesen and Tony Scherr, Michael Daves, Jim Campilongo, Julian Velard, The Undisputed Heavyweights, Tracy Bonham, Gabriel Kahane, Trixie Whitley, Emily Wolfe, Christopher Paul Stelling, Wakey! Wakey!, and lots more. Tickets for the 15th Anniversary shows are on sale now, and you can check out the monthlong lineup below.
