Rodrigo y Gabriela cover Metallica, Slayer & Megadeth on RSD EP (stream “Battery”)

Acoustic duo Rodrigo y Gabriela are releasing an EP of metal covers on Record Store Day Black Friday called Mettal. It features covers of Megadeth‘s “Holy Wars,” Slayer‘s “Seasons in the Abyss,” and Metallica‘s “Battery,” the latter of which you can stream below. The whole thing is acoustic and instrumental, and Rodrigo y Gabriela are clearly, uh… masters at this type of interpretation.

Rodrigo y Gabriela are on tour supporting their 2019 album Mettavolution now, with North American dates through December and Monterrey, Mexico’s Pal Norte festival in March of 2020.
