Rogue Wave released new album Cover Me for Record Store Day Black Friday which featured '80s cover songs of The Cure, ZZ Top, The Cult, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Romantics, Genesis and more. Cover Me is now getting an expanded, official release on February 17 via Easy Sound. Frontman Zach Rogue tells us the record had an accidental birth. "Before we started tracking Delusions of Grand Fur, we were wondering if we could make the record without a producer and in our own studio," he said. "So we decided to track a cover song and see what happened. We tried to reimagine "Talking in Your Sleep" by The Romantics, effectively turning the song upside down. Some of the bounciest pop songs can have the most sinister subtext. After doing that, we were reduced to little kids again, wondering what song to cover next, and wouldn't it be fun to constrain it just to songs from the 80's, and man oh man how amazing do old Casio synths sound?"

We've got the premiere of their gentle take on Pete Townshend's 1980 hit solo single "Let My Love Open the Door" -- and the video for it which features Adam Priester's album illustrations. Watch that below.

The expanded edition of the vinyl LP comes with a bonus 7" with Psychedelic Furs' "Love My Way" and Big Country's "In A Big Country" and there's also a digital bonus track cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Money Changes Everything." There are only 300 made and preorders are up now. Check out artwork, packaging and tracklist below.
