New Brunswick's ROMP are releasing their debut LP Departure From Venus on Bad Timing Records this week (pre-order), and it's streaming in full now. Similar to the sorely missed Chumped, ROMP take late '90s/early '00s pop punk and give it a lo-fi/indie rock makeover. And singer Madison Klarer's sharp voice and super descriptive lyrics are no small part of what makes them stand out. Check out the full album for yourself, below.

ROMP have announced some shows in support of the new album, including two in NYC. One is on March 13 at Alphaville with Comfy, Hey Anna and Swoon Lake (tickets); and the other is March 30 at Shea Stadium with Pupppy, Caged Animals and Varsity. All dates are listed below.

For Chicago's Varsity, that Shea show is one of two NYC stops on their tour. The other is at Cake Shop (3/31) the next night (lineup and ticket info TBA). They just released their "Eye to Eye" / "Kelly" single, two songs of catchy, reverby indie pop. You can check that out below, with the list of their tour dates.
