Rooftop Films have announced some of the musical performers who will be paired with films at its 2016 film series this summer. Artists include She-Devils, Cut Worms, Alice Cohen, and more. For the Goodnight Brooklyn: The Story of Death by Audio screening at The Old American Can Factory on July 9 there will be a number of TBA bands who were regulars at DbA over the course of its existence. Lineup of films/music and ticket links are below.

They have also announced a pair of screenings/concerts in conjunction with House of Vans both of which are free. On May 22 at HoV they’ll screen concert doc Danny Brown: Live at the Majestic followed by a performance by Danny himself, as well as a Q&A with Brown and director Andrew Cohn. You can RSVP to that now.

Then on May 26, House of Vans will host a screening of Los Punks: We Are All We Have, a portrait of backyard DIY punk scene in South Central and East LA, followed by performances by The Casualties, Age of Fear, and South Central Riot Squad. Additionally there will be a Q&A with director Angela Boatwright and the bands, as well as DIY workshops where attendees can learn to “stud, patch, bleach and dye just about everything under the sun.” RSVP for that screening/show is also open.

Trailer for Los Punks, and the announced Rooftops film music schedule, are below.
