A reunited Royal Trux released White Stuff, their first studio album in 19 years, back in March and now five of the record's songs have been remixed by Ariel Pink for a new EP, fittingly titled Pink Stuff. On the EP's opening track, "Suburban Junkie Lady," Pink strips away much of the original's scuzz and adds synthesizers, turning it more into an '80s ballad you could almost imagine Kim Carnes singing -- which is just what you'd expect him to do. Listen to that below.

Pink Stuff will be out October 4 via Fat Possum as a double 7" on pink vinyl. Royal Trux's spring tour was canceled (and those were rescheduled dates, to boot) and there's been no word of new shows since.
