In the latest episode of Damian Abraham's podcast "Turned Out a Punk," he interviews Jennifer Herrema of the reunited Royal Trux. It's a fascinating journey into her punk rock past and the history of Royal Trux. She talks seeing Iron Cross in DC at age 12, her time in the DC punk scene including hanging out at the MacKaye house, meeting bandmate Neil Hagerty, moving to NYC, the origins of Royal Trux and Pussy Galore, and her close friendship with Rob Zombie and his band White Zombie from back when they were more known for their association to Sonic Youth and Swans than to radio hits like "More Human Than Human," semi-nostalgia arena tours with Marilyn Manson, and horror movies. Moby also ends up factoring in to all this too.

Listen to the interview at Spotify, iTunes, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Royal Trux recently put out their first new album in 20 years (White Stuff), and are going on a tour in May that includes a show at the reopening Webster Hall on May 15 with Wolf Eyes (who also open four of the other dates). Tickets for that NYC gig are still available, and we have some you can win. Enter via the form below. Good luck!
