Detroit rap great Royce Da 5'9" dropped his very solid new LP The Allegory last month - which we described as "a rich-sounding, soulful concept album about racism and injustice in America" - and he has announced a US tour behind the album, which kicks off in late April. Stops include Chicago, NYC, Ann Arbor, LA, Seattle, Washington DC, Cleveland, Austin, and many others.

The NYC show happens at Gramercy Theatre on May 12. Tickets to that date (and the whole tour) are on sale now, and you can view all upcoming dates below.

Elsewhere, Royce recently appeared on TIDAL's Rap Radar podcast, where he discussed the rap industry's dependence on streaming numbers, and Ice-T's impact on conscious hip hop, among other topics. Head over to TIDAL for the full interview, and/or view several clips below.
