Rufus Wainright preps new album, shares "Trouble in Paradise"

Rufus Wainwright has teamed with acclaimed producer Mitchell Froom (Los Lobos, Crowded House, Suzanne Vega) for a new single he’s calling his first pop release since 2012’s Mark Ronson-produced Out of the Game. “Trouble In Paradise” is “about the fashion world but also applies to the state of the planet,” says Rufus, adding that it’s got “a sense of sophistication and an animalistic instinct.” It’s the first taste of his new album, due out next year via BMG and you can listen below.

You can catch Rufus on tour in November, including shows in Ithica, Buffalo, Vancouver, San Diego, Houston, Dallas and Austin, and has “A Not So Silent Christmas” shows in the UK and Ireland in December. All dates are listed below.
