Rufus Wainwright celebrating 1st two LPs on 20th Anniversary tour
Rufus Wainwright has just announced the "All These Poses" tour which celebrates the 20th anniversary of his career. He'll be out with a band this fall, focusing on songs from his first two albums -- 1998's Rufus Wainwright and his 2001 breakthrough, Poses. The tour starts at Los Angeles' Orpheum Theatre on November 9 and hit's NYC at Beacon Theatre on December 4. Tickets for NYC and L.A. (and all dates of the tour) go on sale Friday, April 13 at 10 AM local time, with a fan presale starting Wednesday (4/11) at 10 AM local time (use password APRILFOOLS). There are VIP packages as well, AND stay tuned for details of a BrooklynVegan presale for the NYC show starting Thursday at 10 AM as well.
Meanwhile, Rufus will be in NYC this month for sold-out "Northern Stars" performances at St. Ann's Warehouse, and he's got lots of other dates before the "All These Poses" dates begin in November. All tour dates are listed below.
