Sallie Ford is set to follow 2014’s Slap Back with a new album, Soul Sick, on February 10 via Vanguard Records. “This is a ‘confessional’ album. It’s about struggling with my issues – some that I’ve overcome and some that I still carry around. I felt confused, down about life and unsure of myself,” Sallie says.
We’ve got the premiere of “Get Out,” which is the kind of retro-but-modern rocker that Sallie does so well and has a wah-pedal guitar solo that’ll bring you right back to the ’60s. She says this song “is about how my insecurities of my music are related to the insecurities I feel about me in general. I tend to want to give up or easily feel overwhelmed and want to escape.” Check it out:
