Sannhet release 'Short Life' 7" - stream a visualizer + win a copy & tix to NY show

Sannhet

Brooklyn post-metal trio Sannhet have a new 7″ on Profound Lore, Short Life, their first new release since 2017’s So Numb. It features a new original song, the title track, which was recorded during the So Numb sessions, and a cover of Joy Division’s “The Eternal” with vocals from Josh Strawn of VAURA and Blacklist (who have a reunion show coming up). The 7″ is limited to 300 copies and out digitally, but you can stream a visualizer of it right here:

About it, AJ Annunziata says, “this video is an exploration of what is considered life and how it can be taken. Aside from physical heartbeat, metaphors like freedom, happiness, influence, innocence, legacy etc are often used in a similar sentiment. These videos, using an effect called ‘Displacement Mapping’, whereas one videos images information is used to distort or ‘displace’ the others show a duality of conceptual deaths that occur while the heart is still beating.”

As mentioned, Sannhet are touring with Planning for Burial and Elizabeth Colour Wheel this month. All dates are listed below.

The tour includes a Brooklyn show at Elsewhere Zone One on May 23. Tickets are still available, and we’re also giving away a pair, along with a copy of the Short Life 7″! Enter for a chance to win in the form below:
