2019 year-end list mainstay and Best New Artist Grammy nominee Billie Eilish celebrates her 18th birthday on Wednesday (12/18), as Chris Thile pointed out in the birthday segment of his Saturday (12/14) edition of Live From Here with Chris Thile at Town Hall. "Let's send a very happy 18th birthday to the miracle that is Billie Eilish," he began:

Allow me to add my humble voice to the choir heaping praise on Ms Eilish and her 21-year-old brother Finneas for delivering unto us these infinitely satisfying orbs of music we've been hearing over the past year and change. Keep up the good work, y'all. I hear a lot of grumbling amongst my fellow musos about the current state of popular music, but if Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, and Billie Eilish are going around selling out arenas, I think we're doing fine. Good work, everybody.

Regular Live From Here guest, solo artist and I'm With Her member Sarah Jarosz followed that speech with a cover, backed by Chris and the band, of Billie's hit "bad guy." It was totally on point, complete with its trademark wobbly vocals, audible breaths, and interjected spoken words, and you can watch the performance below.

Saturday's show was the last one of Live From Here's fall 2019 season, and it returns in February for more Town Hall dates in NYC, as well as a few in other cities. Tickets are on sale now, and you can see updated dates below. Stay tuned for information on each show's guests.
