Satan releasing new album, touring the US, share “The Doomsday Clock”

NWOBHM vets Satan reunited in 2011 not just for shows but also new music, and they've since released not one but two new albums -- 2013's Life Sentence and 2015's Atom by Atom -- which were both shockingly killer for a band who had been away for so long. Now they're set to release reunion album #3, Cruel Magic, on September 7 via Metal Blade. The first single is "The Doomsday Clock," and the video for that song just came out. Like the two previous albums, "The Doomsday Clock" is exactly the kind of ripping NWOBHM that Satan helped define back in the early '80s, complete with galloping rhythms, face-melting leads, and the howled vocals of Brian Ross. Satan also announced a US tour for October, including a Brooklyn show happening on 10/12 at Saint Vitus with Natur opening. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (6/29) at 10 AM.
