Savannah Stopover 2019 in pics (Deerhunter, Lucy Dacus, Priests, more)

The ninth annual edition of Savannah Stopover brought over 80 bands to Savannah, GA’s downtown area from March 7-March 9. Happening shortly before SXSW, Savannah Stopover is literally a stop on the way to Austin for the bands who perform at both festivals, with a more laid-back atmosphere and longer sets.

This year’s Stopover featured sets from a few Georgia natives, including Deerhunter, Faye Webster, and Pylon Reenactment Society, along with Priests, Weakened Friends, Empath, Bad Bad Hats, The Beths, Mike Krol (who had Allison Crutchfield with him), The Mystery Lights, and more. Check out pictures in the gallery above.

Priests, The Beths, and Mike Krol all play BrooklynVegan and Margin Walker’s Lost Weekend free SXSW day parties, which happen at Mohawk on Thursday (3/14) and Friday (3/15). RSVP is open now. Weakened Friends are on the lineup of our official nighttime showcase on Saturday (3/16) at Scoot Inn for Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion.
