Schoolboy Q at Panorama Fest 2016 - Friday

Schoolboy Q and Joey Bada$$ played Panorama, add Terminal 5 show to tour

The day before Kendrick Lamar shouted out Schoolboy Q and played two of his songs at Panorama, Schoolboy Q played his own set at the festival (Friday, 7/22). It was his second NYC since the release of his excellent Blank Face LP (his first was a Panorama-presented show at Highline Ballroom on 7/12), and he performed new songs “THat Part” and “By Any Means” among others and also threw in some old favorites like “Collard Greens” and “Man of the Year”. Q was pretty upset with his turn out, claiming that he’s done a lot of shows in NYC and this was the “most turned down” show he’s performed at. The crowd was relatively small, as a lot of people chose to stay at the main stage after Alabama Shakes to wait for Arcade Fire. Pictures of his set are in the gallery above.

Q recently announced a tour with Joey Bada$$, which included a TBA NYC show on September 11. Now it’s been announced that the show will happen at Terminal 5. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (7/29) at noon with a promoter presale starting Thursday (7/28) at noon. Updated dates are listed below.

Joey Bada$$ wasn’t billed for Panorama, but he did also play. He showed up as a surprise guest during Flatbush Zombies‘ set on Sunday (7/24), after the Zombies asked the crowd if it was okay if they bring out a very good friend of theirs. Joey played his single “Devastated” and proudly repped the Beast Coast movement, which includes Joey’s Pro Era crew, Flatbush Zombies, The Underachievers, and more.
