Seefeel share unreleased song from new Warp box set; tour starts soon

UK post-rock/shoegaze vets Seefeel have shared a previously unreleased song, “Rough For Radio,” which was only ever recorded as a 1994 session for BBC DJ John Peel. It’s finally getting a release as part of new box set celebrating Warp Records’ 30th anniversary. “It seemed a waste to be in this legendary location and not to try and create something new there,” recalls Seefeel’s Mark Clifford. “Given the stress of the reality of what that meant under the time constraints we had, it might not have been the best move, but I sat on the floor, samples loaded, sequencer running and somehow managed to get it done. Sarah was kind of put on the spot in terms of coming up with a vocal.” It’s a dubbed-out, eerie track and you can stream that below.

That box set, WXAXRXP, features ten specially selected sessions recorded for radio from across the history of the label, and also includes Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Bibio, Flying Lotus, Kelly Moran, LFO, Mount Kimbie, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Plaid. It’s out November 15.

Meanwhile, Seefeel’s first-ever North American tour begins November 1 in Santa Ana, CA and also rolls through Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Brooklyn (Warsaw on 11/14), and Philadelphia. Some of those dates, including Brooklyn, are with The Veldt and all are listed below.
