SeeYouSpaceCowboy announce new LP, share "Armed With Their Teeth," touring

Math/sasscore band SeeYouSpaceCowboy have been on the rise thanks to a handful of promising EPs, splits, demos, and other tracks, which resulted in the Songs For The Firing Squad compilation earlier this year. Now they’re set to release their debut full-length album, The Correlation Between Entrance And Exit Wounds, on September 27 via Pure Noise (pre-order). The first single is the intensely chaotic “Armed With Their Teeth,” which you can hear below, alongside a stream of Songs For The Squiring Squad.

“Art made by queer individuals has always had boundaries of what you can and can’t do,” guitarist Jesse Price told Revolver. “We always wanted to push past that and not live in any specific world. We didn’t want to hide behind cryptic, artsy writing anymore. This record is unapologetically direct.”

Singer Connie Sgabossa adds that she has no interest in being “pigeonholed as just another trans woman singing political punk … A lot of these songs were written from an emotional standpoint and really helped me throw my identity out the window. I hold my values true, but my identity doesn’t define who I am. I wanted to show I’m more than that.”

As mentioned, SYSC are opening their labelmates Knocked Loose‘s upcoming tour, which supports KL’s anticipated new album A Different Shade of Blue (due 8/23 via Pure Noise). Rotting Out and Candy are on that tour too, and that killer quadruple bill hits Poughkeepsie’s The Chance on Halloween and NYC’s Webster Hall on November 3 (tickets).

Before that tour, SYSC have headlining tristate area shows in August: Long Island’s Amityville Music Hall on 8/7 with Poor Choice, Tourniquet, Boundaries, Rain of Salvation, and Migraine (tickets); and Connecticut’s The Cave on 8/8 with Boundaries, Stab You In The Head, and more TBA (tickets). All dates are listed below.
