Selector Dub Narcotic (Calvin Johnson) touring in support of debut LP

Beat Happening frontman and K Recs domo Calvin Johnson is hitting the road under his Selector Dub Narcotic guise, where he mixes dancehall, soul, punk, garage, R&B, rock steady, bubblegum and rockabilly into a sound distinctly his own. (Johnson’s baritone ties everything together.) Things kick off in Athens, GA tonight (3/22) and he’ll hit NYC for two shows: Babycastles on April 2 and Alphaville on April 3. Both shows are with This Saxophone Kills Fascists (Arrington de Dionyso) and tickets are on sale now. All dates are listed below.
