Shabazz Palaces recently announced that their new album Quazarz: Born On A Gangster Star would be out July 14 via Sub Pop, and today they revealed that they'll actually release two albums that day. The other is called Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines, and they're calling it an "extra-spatial twin" to the other new album. This one features appearances by Fly Guy Dai of Chimurenga Renaissance, Amir Yaghamai, John Carroll Kirby, Thaddillac, Morgan Henderson, The Shogun Shot, Laz, and Purple Tape Nate.

The first single off Quazarz vs. The Jealous Machines is "30 Clip Extension," which has a lyric video directed by Cristina T. Bercovitz and Jonathan Snipes of Clipping. Watch and check out the tracklist below. That's the album artwork above.

As mentioned, the group is touring and playing NYC on September 6 at Warsaw (tickets). That show (and many others on the tour) is with Porter Ray. All dates are listed below.

Shabazz Palaces member Ishmael Butler (aka Butterfly) is also reunited with Digable Planets, who have upcoming shows, including two free NYC shows: House of Vans on May 18 with Joey Purp (RSVP), and a free SummerStage show on June 21 in Coffey Park (no RSVP required).
