Speaking of female singers who collaborate with members of The National, Sharon Van Etten recently revealed the first track off her upcoming album Tramp, which comes out February 7 via Jagjaguwar. Download that track, which is titled "Serpents" at the top of this post. Buy the single, which comes with non-album track "Mike McDermott," at iTunes. That's the single's cover art above.
Sharon's also one of the openers for The National's six Beacon Theater shows (12/13) and her upcoming tour hits NYC twice (MHOW on 2/24 and Bowery Ballroom on 2/25). Tickets for all three of those shows are still available. Updated tour dates are listed below...
