Sharon Van Etten sang with Jeff Goldblum at Glastonbury (video)

Sharon Van Etten played the UK’s long-running Glastonbury festival over the weekend and, in addition to her own set on Saturday, there she joined another group for their set: Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. She came out on Sunday to sing on the Irving Berlin standard “Let’s Face The Music And Dance” — made famous by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the 1936 musical Follow the Fleet — and she knocks it out the park. You can watch that (via Stereogum), below.

On stage at Glastonbury, Jeff announced that his second album with The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra would be out this fall, while Sharon wrote on instagram that she sings on the album. A press release for the record calls SVE’s Glastonbury appearance a “sneak peak of the new record.” Jeff’s first album came out last year. As they’re both actors, too, maybe they’ll be in more projects together.

If you need more Sharon Van Etten, there’s “Sharon,” the new single from Rosenau & Sanborn (aka Chris Rosenau of Volcano Choir and Nick Sanborn of Sylvan Esso) that samples SVE’s voice. She’s also the narrator of the Dinosaur Jr chapter on the audiobook of Michael Azerrad’s seminal Our Band Could Be Your Life.
