Sharon Van Etten touring with Jay Som (and Julien Baker on one date)
As mentioned, Sharon Van Etten is wrapping up a big 2019 that saw her release the excellent Remind Me Tomorrow and leave her longtime home of NYC to move to LA, among other things, with a pair of solo acoustic sets opening for Wilco in Chicago, and now she’s extended her touring plans into 2020. Starting on April 17 in Baltimore, she’ll hit the road with Jay Som for a tour of the Southeastern US that stops in Asheville NC, Nashville, New Orleans, Austin, Atlanta, and more. The Nashville date, which happens on April 22 at Ryman Auditorium, is extra special; Julien Baker will join SVE and Jay Som as opener on that one. Sharon joined Julien onstage at a 2016 NYC show to perform “Good News” with her, and it’s pretty exciting that they have a chance to reunite on the same stage again.
