Rodriguez isn’t the only ’70s cult musician having a career renaissance. Shuggie Otis released Wings of Love this week, his first new album in 39 years. The record is packaged with a reissue of his classic 1974 album, Inspiration Information. Last night (4/18), at a packed-to-the-gills BB King Blues Club, Shuggie Otis performed old favorites like “Aht Uh Mi Hed,” “Island Letter” and “Strawberry 23” as well as tracks from the new LP. Like at his Highline show back in January, Shuggie showed that his guitar chops are in fine form. Jesca Hoop opened the show and pictures from last night are in this post.

Shuggie and Jesca play again tonight (4/19) at Music Hall of Williamsburg and there are still tickets available. More pics below.
