Signals Midwest releasing an LP prod. Evan Weiss, touring (stream a new song)

Ohio’s Signals Midwest are set to release their fourth album, At This Age, on September 2 via Tiny Engines (pre-order). For this one, they teamed up with indie/emo scene everywhere-man Evan Weiss (of Into It. Over It., Their/They’re/There, The Progress, etc), and the results are looking very promising. They already released one single, “West Side Summer,” and we’re premiering another track, “Should Have Been A Painter.” The new one starts out sounding like the best Dear You-era Jawbreaker impression I’ve heard in years, and it eventually turns into yelpier midwest emo, where the Evan Weiss connection is loud and clear. It’s good stuff, and if you dig melodic punk rock at all, you should give this a shot. Do so below.

Signals Midwest were last in NYC for a show at Suburbia earlier this month, and they have tons of other dates coming up, including The Fest. They’ll be back in NYC for a show on September 24 at Aviv. Ticket info and full lineup TBA. All dates are listed below.
