Sigur Ros began NYC run at Radio City Music Hall (pics, setlist)
Sigur Ros are currently on a unique tour, which has the band playing two sets at each show with no opener. It’s also just their current trio lineup, with none of the string and brass accompaniment they usually have. The tour hit Radio City Music Hall last night (10/5) for the band’s first of three shows in NYC. Sigur Ros played favorites from all of their career, from “Ný Batterí” and “Starálfur” to newer highlights like “Kveikur” and “Ekki Múkk,” plus a bit of their new material. Songs were re-arranged to fit the different stage setup, and it seems like these versions had fans as won over as ever.
