Sinkane shares Coral D remix, playing Brooklyn this week, opening for Caribou at SummerStage & other dates

Sinkane will warm up for his appearance at this weekend’s Bonnaroo fest with a Brooklyn show on Thursday (6/11) at 501 Union in Gowanus. The show, which is presented by GAP, also features a set from Prefuse 73 keyboardist Ryan Rahseed. Tickets are on sale now. You can also catch Sinkane opening for Caribou at East River Park Summerstage on August 6. That show is free. You may recall Sinkane played as part of the Caribou Vibration Ensemble a few years back.

In other news, we’ve got the premiere of a remix of Sinkane’s “New Name” by Coral D, aka Duncan Stump, one half of DFA artists Mock & Toof and who also runs Tiny Sticks label. Stump maintains the tribal vibe of the original song (from last year’s Mean Love), but takes it below the topsoil into darker (more minimal) territory. Stream it below.
