Boston hardcore legends Slapshot -- still fronted by founding vocalist Jack "Choke" Kelly -- returned earlier this month with their latest album, which has the Trump-referencing title Make America Hate Again (out on Bridge 9). They may be taking on current issues, but musically it sounds like the kind of short, loud, and fast hardcore that Slapshot helped define three decades ago. With production from Dean Baltulonis (who's worked with Madball, American Nightmare, No Warning, and others), it also sounds crisp and modern. Stream it below.

Slapshot are touring this September, including a Brooklyn show on September 15 at The Kingsland with Brick By Brick and Unruly Boys (tickets), as well as a handful of West Coast dates. They also say "more dates to follow... but not many." All currently announced dates are listed below.
