Virtual metal/heavy rock festival Slay at Home (which benefits MusiCares and Global Giving) announced its initial lineup earlier this month, and now the full lineup and schedule are here. It goes down Friday (5/29) and Saturday (5/30) with performances beginning at 3 PM ET both days and it's spread across three "stages" on Metal Injection's YouTube and Facebook pages. You can also tune in at the bottom of this post.

The fest will include performances by Cadaver, Darkest Hour, Khemmis, Spirit Adrift, Tesseract, Mantar, Astronoid, O'Brother, Spotlights, Employed to Serve, Trivium's Matt Heafy, Allegaeon, Entheos, Der Weg einer Freiheit, Silvertomb, A.A. Williams, Jo Quail, and much more.

There will also be music that was commissioned to be debuted at this festival from members of Gorguts, Revocation, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and more; and cover collaborations by members of GWAR, The Black Dahlia Murder, Type O Negative, Rivers of Nihil, Megadeth, Samhain, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Repulsion, Vio-lence, Armored Saint, and more; and appearances by members of Anthrax, Hatebreed, Municipal Waste, Testament, and more.

That's a lot of cool stuff -- check out the full schedule HERE.

Fest organizer Frank Godla explains the schedule:

By keeping the set times between 5 and 15 minutes for each artist, it allows me to not only keep things moving, but mix it up in ways that conventional festivals simply can’t. Every single hour will contain big names and emerging artists right next to each other. I’m trying to look at the bright side of our current situation, and not only make this an entertaining way to see the artists you love flex their creativity in new ways, but hope this event acts as a place of discovery for every viewer out there. Finding a band or artist to fall in love with is the mark of a great festival to me, and it’s my honor to share the work of these amazing individuals I curated because I’m passionate about them. I’ve been in touch with all of them every step of the way, and some even managed to throw me a few surprises. I’m honored and humbled to have all of them part of this, they truly went above and beyond to showcase their craft for the Slay At Home fest, and I can’t wait for the world to see something really special come to life this weekend.
