Slayer at Jones Beach in July (more by Mathieu Bredeau)

Slayer spent a huge chunk of 2018 on the road for what they’re saying is their “final” tour, but it’s not over yet. They were recently announced for the 2019 edition of France’s Hellfest and other international festivals, and they’ll also be hitting the road for another round of North American dates in 2019. The openers for this run are Lamb of God (who also opened for them in North America earlier this year), Amon Amarth, and Cannibal Corpse.

The new North American dates include shows in Phoenix, AZ; Albuquerque, NM; El Paso, TX; Dallas, TX; Tampa, FL; Columbia, MD; Youngstown, OH; Camden, NJ; Mansfield, MA; and more. Tickets for all dates on the North American tour go on BrooklynVegan presale Wednesday (12/12) at 10 AM local time. Check back here Wednesday morning for the password. The public on-sale starts Friday (12/14) at 10 AM local time.

Even more dates are TBA. All currently announced dates are listed below.

Slayer’s current lineup includes original members Tom Araya and Kerry King (drummer Dave Lombardo left the band again and guitarist Jeff Hanneman sadly passed away in 2013), alongside ’90s-era drummer Paul Bostaph. They had been playing with Exodus’ Gary Holt filling in for Hanneman, but Holt recently had to drop off the European tour to be with his father who is nearing the end of his life. His last-minute replacement was Phil Demmel, who recently left Machine Head. He made his debut with the band on December 3 and you can watch a video from that show below.

Slayer also just released episode 3 of their “Slayer Looks Back on 37 Years” video series and you can watch that below too.

Before the run with Slayer, Cannibal Corpse will also go on the 2019 Decibel Magazine tour with Morbid Angel, Necrot, and Blood Incantation.
