“So nice to see these words again! Tour starts tonight!,” Sleater-Kinney tweeted along with the above picture of the marquee last night (2/8). Their long-awaited and much-anticipated reunion tour in support of their excellent reunion album began in their home state of Washington last night at Spokane’s Knitting Factory. The full setlist is below, and from the sound of the tweets quoted above, all the songs they chose to play were winners. You can check out a few videos below. Like they were on Letterman, and will be for the rest of the tour, Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss were joined by Sky Larkin’s Katie Harkin as a live member.

Opening was rapper Lizzo, who seemed to fit the bill well. One person wrote, “So grateful for Lizzo. AMAZING show. I did not expect to hear #BlackLivesMatter at Sleater Kinney & I “needed” that. Being black/femme/queer/”punk” in the white NW has been painful & complicated. But THANK u Lizzo for rocking the fuck out & bringing me home.”

Sleater-Kinney and Lizzo will be in NYC soon for sold-out Terminal 5 shows on February 26 & 27. All of their dates are here. Videos below…
