Sleater-Kinney continued their sold-out five-night run of NYC shows last night (12/14) at Irving Plaza with Perfect Pussy opening. So far the setlists have been similar but not exactly the same, and each show gets a cover. The cover last night was the same as night 2: Fred Armisen joining for The B-52s' "Rock Lobster." Check out coverage of nights 1 and 2 here. Pictures and setlist from night 3 are in this post.
The run continues tonight (12/15) at MHOW with Charly Bliss and ends on Wednesday (12/16) at Market Hotel, which is that venue's first real show back. Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo opens that one.
S-K also stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert yesterday and played "Bury Our Friends" off this year's great comeback album, No Cities to Love. Watch the video of that below.
For Perfect Pussy, that show came after singer Meredith Graves played three shows with Kevin Devine and friends (pictures, video and review from Brooklyn and Philly), and right before their tour with Big Ups, which begins in Easthampton, MA tonight. It hits NYC on Friday (12/18) at MHOW with DFA's Guerilla Toss playing too (tickets). Speaking of Big Ups, they just released a new song.
