Sleater-Kinney are releasing a live album on January 27 via Sub Pop. Live in Paris was recorded March 20, 2016 at La Cigale as part of their No Cities to Love tour. Say the band: "The No Cities To Love tour was about so much more than promoting the album. Every night felt like a question, after so much time away, as to what the band means to our audiences and to ourselves. The show in Paris was particularly special. La Cigale is such a beautiful venue; the whole night was a great celebration of music, across cultures, bringing people together." Preorders, in a variety of packages (including a bootleg-looking cassette), are available now and you can stream "Surface Envy" from the LP below.

In other news, Sleater-Kinney played a New Year's Eve show at San Francisco’s Masonic Auditorium with The Thermals opening and a DJ set from Spoon's Britt Daniel. They paid tribute to two of 2016's fallen, covering George Michael's "Faith" with The Thermals' Kathy Foster, and bringing bout Britt and The Thermals for Bowie's "Rebel Rebel." Video of both covers, as well as their Masonic setlist, are below.
