Smashing Pumpkins announce acoustic tour with Liz Phair, playing Beacon Theater (dates)

The Smashing Pumpkins (original members Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin included) are going on an acoustic tour this year, with support from fellow ’90s-alternative great Liz Phair. It’s Liz’s first proper tour since 2011, but she did go on Aimee Mann & Ted Leo’s holiday music tour this past December.
The tour hits NYC on April 4 at Beacon Theatre. Tickets go on sale Friday (2/5) at 11 AM with artist/Citi presales starting Tuesday (2/2) at 10 AM, a Ticketmaster presale starting Wednesday (2/3) at 10 AM, and a local presale starting Thursday (2/4) at 10 AM. There’s also a BrooklynVegan presale starting Thursday at 10 AM. Check back here Thursday morning for the password.
