SOPHIE announces debut album (due next week), touring

Electronic musician SOPHIE showed a more personal and more pop side on last year’s “It’s Okay To Cry” single, but hasn’t totally stopped making more dancefloor-friendly music, as subsequent singles “Ponyboy” and “Faceshopping” proved. Now, she has announced her debut album, OIL OF EVERY PEARL’s UN-INSIDES, which will feature all three of those songs… and it’s due out next week (6/15). While you wait, revisit the videos for those three singles below.

SOPHIE also has upcoming shows and festival appearances, including LadyFag’s inaugural queer NYC music festival LadyLand, which takes place on June 22 at Brooklyn Mirage with Eve, Tommy Genesis, Kim Petras, SSION, Ian Isiah, 070 Shake, Kembra Pfahler, Mike Servito, Total Freedom, JD Samson, and more (tickets). All dates are listed below.
