Sound of Ceres, the new band from Candy Claws’ Karen Hover and Ryan Hover, that also features The Drums’ Jacob Graham and Apples In Stereo’s Ben Phelan, will release their second album, The Twin, on October 6 via Joyful Noise Recording Company. The album was produced by Alex Somers (Sigur Rós, Julianna Barwick) who makes for a good match with the group’s ethereal sound. We’ve got the premiere of the video for first single “Gemini Scenic” which was directed by C.B. Stockfleth and has the group doing some pretty cool stuff with lasers. You can watch that, and check out the album art and tracklist, below.

Folks in NYC can catch Sound of Ceres live this month as part of their August residency at Alphaville which started this past Monday, and happens again on August 21 & 28. The shows feature Kate Brehm – The Poof – Visual Performance and 8/21 also has Listening Center and 8/28 has Foxes in Fiction. Tickets are on sale now. Their live show also does cool things with lasers as you can seen in a video clip from this past Monday’s residency, below.
