Spill

Spill sign to No Sleep for debut LP, 'Top Ten' (stream "Can't Keep Cool")

Spill (ex-Placeholder) released their promising debut EP last year on Broken World Media, and now they’ve signed to No Sleep for their first full-length. The album is called Top Ten, and it’s due out December 16. Vinyl is limited to 500 and on Coke Bottle Clear wax. You can pre-order it here. Along with the album announcement, we’re premiering its lead single, “Can’t Keep Cool.”

Here’s what singer Brandon Gepfer tells us about the song and album: “‘Can’t Keep Cool’ is about being kinda poor but having enough money to get wasted at a pool party and suppressing your feelings and doing stupid shit to yourself and almost dying in a pool and waking up naked and asking God why the fuck you ever landed here in Pennsylvania. Top Ten is about writing the best ten songs the world has ever listened to.”

if that doesn’t make you want to listen to this, I don’t know what will. Though I’ll add that fans of fuzzy ’90s indie rock should take note. Check it out:

Spill have some dates coming up too, including The Fest. Full tour schedule below. Check out pics of Spill opening the intimate Balance & Composure show at Union Pool that we presented last year.
