St. Vincent shares "New York" video, covered "All You Need is Love"

St. Vincent shared “New York,” her first new song in two years, back in June, and now she’s released a video for it too. Directed by Alex Da Corte, it places Annie Clark at the center of several pastel-colored and slightly surreal scenes, zooming out to reveal how she figures in their arrangement. Da Corte says, “I think Annie’s New York is the New York of my dreams –one that is blurry and fractured, dreamy and flat. It is the Toontown to my Hollywood. It is beautiful but slightly out of reach.” On a recent Song Exploder, Annie called “New York” “my whole life in a song.” Watch the video below.

Annie is also among the stars of Tiffany & Co’s fall ad campaign, alongside Janelle Monae, Zoë Kravitz, Elle Fanning, and others. An ad for the jeweler’s new fragrance is soundtracked by a new St. Vincent cover of The Beatles’ “All You Need is Love.” Watch that below, as well.

St. Vincent recently debuted another new song, “LA,” at a festival in Tokyo. It’s the second song we’ve heard so far from her highly anticipated new album, details of which are still TBA.

St. Vincent is going on tour this fall, starting with the inaugural Los Angeles version of Red Bull Music Academy. She’ll stop in NYC for two shows at Kings Theatre in December; the first is sold out, but tickets for the December 3 show are on sale.
