State Faults releasing new LP & touring (watch the "Moon Sign Gemini" video)

As mentioned, post-hardcore/screamo unit State Faults are finally following their great 2013 sophomore album Resonate/Desparate with a new album, Clairvoyant, on June 21 via No Sleep in North America (pre-order) and Dog Knights in Europe (pre-order). They recently released the 54-second lead single “Moon Sign Gemini,” which has them sounding even more intense than they did on their last album, and we’re now premiering the video for the song. The video splices together performance footage with horror film-like imagery, and here’s what the band tells us about it:

I feel like the music video for Moon Sign Gemini perfectly captures the frantic energy of the song while still giving subtle hints of beauty and peace through the flowers that decorate our gear. It was shot on the floor of the Phoenix theater in Petaluma, California by our best friend and Slow Bloom band mate, the incomparable Timmy Lodhi. -Jonny Calvert-Andrew (vocals/guitar)

We shot the music video with our best friend and Slow Bloom band mate Timmy Lodhi and we absolutely love collaborating with him on projects like this. He shot and edited both music videos we did with that band as well as the video for the song “Wildfires” from our last album Resonate/Desperate, so the choice to work with him again was easy. The shoot was so much fun and getting to watch his creative process while he’s directing and filming is really inspiring. He’s such a creative person and he’s so good at his craft.
