Steez Day 2017 lineup (Joey Bada$$, A$AP Mob, Nyck Caution, Kirk Knight, more)
Steez Day, the annual tribute to the late Pro Era member Capital STEEZ, moved from NYC to LA last year, but it’s back in New York for 2017.
It goes down July 7 at Playstation Theater with Pro Era members Joey Bada$$, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, and CJ Fly, plus A$AP Mob, Ab-Soul, The Underachievers, Saba, Jay IDK, Jazz Cartier, J.I.D., the continuously controversial XXL Freshman XXXTENTACION, and special guests.
Tickets go on sale Friday (6/23) at 10 AM.
Earlier this year, Joey Bada$$ released his excellent new album All-AmeriKKKan Bada$$. He also plays day one of Queens festival The Meadows (the same day as Jay-Z, Run the Jewels, Migos, and more).
Nyck Caution and Kirk Knight recently debuted their collaborative Nyck @ Knight project at a House of Vans show with Saba and Beach Fossils, and released their first single “Off The Wall,” which you can stream below. Their self-titled debut will be out soon.
Jay IDK plays NYC this week, at the BrooklynVegan-curated Red Bull Sound Select show with co-headliners Your Old Droog & Wiki, and Nasty Nigel, at Knitting Factory on Wednesday (6/21) ($3 with RSVP).
