It doesn't seem like the Pavement reunion was nearly 10 years ago but it was. Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg has been talking about doing another reunion, potentially for the band's 30th anniversary (which would be this year), and while it seems a little late for a tour in 2019, the possibility of the band getting back together sooner than later is now much more tangible as frontman Stephen Malkmus admits he's open to the idea. When asked about it on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, he says “Anything’s possible…if there’s interest, you know, that’s always a factor. If people are really psyched about it, I’d be psyched about it too. So we’ll see.”

Meanwhile, Malkmus just wrapped up his first-ever Jicks-free solo tour for new album Groove Denied which has him playing with synthesizers and laptops in addition to guitars. He's taking the Jicks to Spain for next week's Primavera Sound in Barcelona, followed by a few other European shows. He'll also be back in Europe in September for solo shows.
