Stephen Malkmus & Matt Sweeney guest on new Endless Boogie single (listen)

Stephen Malkmus just announced a new solo album that features his old pal, Chavez frontman and Soldiers of Fortune collaborator Matt Sweeney, and now here they both are on “Jerome,” the new single by Endless Boogie. Malkmus and Sweeney are both old friends of head Boogie (and noted record collector) Paul Major — Sweeney’s an occasional Boogie members — and they bring their guitar stylings to this Detroit-style punk burner. Listen below.

“Jerome” is out as a 7″ single via Wharf Cat on February 28.

Endless Boogie’s only upcoming live appearances is at Germany’s Freak Valley Fest in June, but Malkmus and Sweeney (and The Decemberists Chris Funk) will be on tour together this spring.
