Stephen Steinbrink releasing 'Anagrams' (listen to "Absent Mind"), on tour, playing 3 NYC shows

Olympia, WA Stephen Steinbrink is back with new album Anagrams that will be out July 1 on Melodic. He spent the last two years working on it at a retrofitted analogue studio in a lofty, de-sanctified church in the secluded island town of Anacortes, Washington. The result is another gorgeous album full of delicate, airy guitar pop with nods to ’70s AM radio and The Beach Boys. Get a taste via opening track “Absent Mind” below.

Stephen is currently on the East Coast as part of a Spring tour. It’ll hit NYC three times: Friday, April 15 at Silent Barn as part of a solid show with Free Cake for Every Creature, Florist, Trace Mountains, and Addie Pray, then Tuesday, April 19 at Palisades with Air Waves, Ajnabi, and Fraternal Twin; and Sunday, April 24 at Cake Shop with 100 Watt Horse, Oh Rose, Pop & Obachan, and Sam Kogon. Tickets for Palisades and Cake Shop are on sale now, and the Silent Barn is $10 at the door.
